rapier2d 0.1.0-alpha.9
Public facade of rapier-cairo in 2D: World, step(), events.
The public 2D facade of rapier-cairo: World, step(), collision and contact-force events, sensors, scene queries and a versioned WorldState save / restore.
Part of rapier-cairo, a port of the Rapier physics engine to Cairo for provable physics. Q32.32 fixed-point scalars from fixed-cairo and vectors from glam-cairo.
[dependencies] rapier2d = "0.1.0-alpha.8"use rapier2d::prelude::*;
rapier-cairo depends on fixed 0.4.0 and glam_core 0.4.1 (since 0.1.0-alpha.8; 0.1.0-alpha.7 and earlier used fixed
0.3.0 and the glam 0.3.0 facade). A consumer that also uses these types must itself be on fixed 0.4 and
glam ≥ 0.4.1 (or glam_core), otherwise it compiles two generations of the same types. Vec2 and Fixed
stay available as rapier2d::prelude::{Vec2, Fixed}.
World::new(gravity, IntegrationParameters), insert(body, collider), step() returning the step's
CollisionEvents; bodies and colliders are built with RigidBodyBuilder / ColliderBuilder as in Rapier.
0.1.0-alpha.8 is an alpha: no API or numeric stability. Every alpha is validated against golden vectors
recorded from rapier2d-f64 0.35.3 / parry2d-f64 0.30.2 within documented tolerance bands, and
the deliberate divergences from upstream are listed in
docs/adr/0001-upstream-divergences.md.
From 0.1.0 on, the siblings' versioning policy applies: a numeric change is a MINOR bump, so pinning a version
pins the simulation's results.
